Chanel Clogs, Menswear, and Celebrity branded Perfumes

For this RR I am going to start with my thoughts on a fad that has unfortunately been blossoming the past few years. And that is celebrities promoting and selling their own lines of perfume. Take Mariah Carey for instance,Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian(eghhhh, tacky), and Victoria AND David Beckum. These are all sucky famous people of course, so they probably aren't the greatest examples to prove my point, BUT, with that said, obviously you have ZERO talent as an artist if you stoop as low as too create a parfume line with your name on it and expect people to respect you for it, or to buy it just because it is you who brands it. Now I do think Kim Kardashian's parfume smells good, but will I buy it? No. I think Dolca and Gabbana's "The One" perfume in Rose smells amazing and will/would I buy it? Yes. D & G didn't get famous from creating a sex tape with Ray Jay or with anyone for that matter, therefore I would happily purchase their smell good perfume. Kim Kardashian's? Heck no.

Next Subject. =)=)

On a more positive note, I'd die for Chanel's Calfskin Clogs(as seen in this month's issue of Vogue). They are studded and chunky but classy and durable, and have I mentioned AMAZING? Check them out here

Lastly, I'd love to rant about another idea that I LOVE and will now steal. And that is women wearing their boyfriend's clothes(or simply women wearing men's clothes). This idea is embellished in this month's Vogue, and after reading over it and looking at the pictures of ideas I'd wished the 2 page spread was more like 4 pages. It opens the doors to a new world of dressing. The pictures show a model wearing her boyfriend's J. Crew button up shirt with khaki pants and a cape. Yes, a cape. The cape is a bit too boring looking for my taste, but I'd definitely rock it after spicing up the outfit. There is also a nautical knitted black and white striped sweater that I loved, as well as a khaki trench coat and a black velvet Dior dinner jacket/blazer. MmmMMmm love. Matt does have a striped nautical looking button up that I might have to adopt.
